Teaching Assistant (Level 2a)

  • Required as soon as possible
  • Temporary fixed term, part time contract
  • 28 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days
  • Grade 4, SCP 13-17, £16,491 - £17,772 pro-rata

 

The Governors wish to appoint a temporary Teaching Assistant to support the educational, personal and social development of pupils, under the clear guidance of the class teacher, in order to establish positive relationships with pupils and assist them to complete structured learning activities. This may include pupils who have special needs and / or bilingual needs. The roles would be to ensure that pupils remain on task and to report progress to the teachers. The position of a Teaching Assistant is to be a caring, responsible adult with concern for pupil’s welfare, behaviour, health and safety.

The contract is temporary from 19 February 2018 to 20 July 2018 in the first instance as the post is linked directly to school funding and additional educational needs within the school setting. The working pattern is 28 hours, to be completed over one week.

Cleaner

  • Permanent, Part-time contract (15 hours per week), Term Time Only plus 3 weeks
  • Grade Foundation Living Wage £16,303 pro-rata

The Governors wish to appoint a part time cleaner, who, under the direction of the Site Supervisor, will undertake the cleaning of designated areas within the school premises to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition, to the agreed quality standards.

Required hours of work are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 3.30pm - 6.30pm
  • Tuesday: 2.30pm - 5.30pm

The contract is for term time, plus 3 weeks during the school holidays, as directed by the Site Supervisor
